Any man living with a woman has uttered that sentence at least once.

Usually it's mumbled under his breath while pushing past all those bottles in the bath, or standing for what seems like an eternity in a store while she smells bottle after bottle, occasionally putting one under his nose for a whiff. (Note to women: Don't bother; after a half an hour in the store they all smell like soap to him anyway.)

While we believe most men mutter, "How many bath products does she need anyways?" as a rhetorical question, we sense his bewilderment and confusion are very real. So we'd like to help.

Forget "sugar and spice and everything nice", women are sentimental creatures. Not only do we adore holidays and remember anniversaries, we even make them up. There's the one month anniversary of when we met and the other assorted personal holidays based on significant events in our lives. We not only know what happened and where we were, but what we were wearing. Our favorite jeans? Well aside from being quite flattering on our behinds, they are our 'lucky pants' because we were wearing them when we met you!

We are the same way with scents too. Strawberries remind us of that first Sunday morning we shared a bowl of berries and did the New York Times crossword puzzle together in bed. Lavender reminds us of the (many) times we've discussed traveling to London and browsing the little bookstores together.

We'd tell you more, but we can tell your eyes have glazed over and the sound of our voice is a fuzzy wonking voice like the teacher in Charlie Brown cartoons.

Let's just say she needs as many scents as there are memories.
