Biography of Janice Dickinson:Meet The World´s First Supermodel

 (Best Offer)
Summary:
Janice Dickinson may not technically be the "Worldīs First Supermodel" but she sure fits the title. This article offers an extensive biography of Janice Dickinson. It includes some of her famous and infamous accomplishments, presented in a chronological timeline.
Details or Sample:
First Part of Article:

No one could call the biography of Janice Dickinson (born February 17, 1953 (or 1955 by some reports) in Brooklyn, New York) a boring one. Janice is considered one of the worldīs first Supermodels (though some say that the honor really belongs to a model from the sixties named Jean Shrimpton) and others trying to follow in Ms. Dickinsonīs footsteps have had some pretty high heels to fill. This article will chronicle her life in a time-line and will make every attempt to list, at the very least, the most important events of her life and career (which to someone as driven as she, Iīm sure is pretty much one and the same).

Boring Statistics:
Father: Ray Dickinson who was career Navy Man and according to all sources and abusive man- physically, sexually and emotionally.
Mother: Jennie Marie Pietrzykoski Dickinson who was/is a nurse.
Sister: Alexis Dickinson a real estate agent
Sister: Debbie Dickinson who is following in Sisīs footsteps by being a model.

She started modeling at the age of fourteen and was turned down by many of the Fashion Worldīs Elite, including the famous Eileen Ford, who reportedly said Those lips! before showing her the door. A photographer ended up taking her to Paris after his girlfriend, the in-the-future famous, Lorraine Bracco, told him that she liked her look.

1971: Elite Models is founded in Paris by John Casablanca and started with Janice, Stephanie Seymour, Iman and Andie MacDowell.

1978: Featured on the cover of UKīs Julyīs issue of Vogue Magazine, and on the U.S. issue of Cosmopolitan in April.

1979: Once again makes the cover of Cosmopolitanīs September issue.

1980: Featured on the cover of American Photographer in December.

1980īs: She married producer Simon Fields and has her first child Nathan with him.

1983: Janice Dickinson started the Filmography part of her biography as a model in the movie "Exposed".

1986: It was reported that friend and co-Supermodel Gia Carangi died of a drug overdose but it was actually due to complications from AIDS.

1991: Is on the cover of Octoberīs issue of Photo magazine (in France).

1992: Divorced Simon Fields.

1994: Daughter Savannah was born on the 23rd of either February or September. Janice claimed that Sylvester Stallone was the father but it actually turned out to be Michael Birnbaum, a well known film mogul. She went on to marry Albert Gerston sometime in the future.

1998: Makes a guest appearance as "Evelyn Maynard" on TVīs Buddy Faro and is one of the people featured on the TV special "Studio 54: The E! True Hollywood Story".

2000: Has a guest appearance as a Supermodel (far-stretch, eh?) in TVīs Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane.

2002: She releases her book "No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the Worlds First Supermodel".

2003: Is re-introduced to the world as a sharp tongued judge, the Simon Cowell of "Americanīs Next Top Model" on UPN. Janice Dickinson also appears, as herself, in "The Self-Destruction of Gia" a documentary about the life and death of her best-friend, Supermodel Gia Carangi.

2004: Made a guest appearance, as herself, on the short-lived TV sitcom Rock Me Baby and was one of the hosts of the special "40 Most Awesomely Bad Dirrty Songs... Ever" and released her book "Everything About Me Is Fake... And Im Perfect".

2005: Supposedly quits Americaīs Next Top Model to be one of the stars in VH1īs reality show "The Surreal Life" (with Jose Canseco, Bronson Pinchot, Omarosa, Carey Hart, Caprice Bourret, and Pepa).. Janice later states that she was fired from Top Model but then returns during the season as a photographer (ironically enough doing a "plastic surgery shoot).
