Broadway Play Review - The Lieutenant of Inishmore

Summary:
This is a review of the Broadway Play, The Lieutenant of Inishmore to open May 3, 2003 at Lyceum Theatre in New York currently in preview. A powerful satirical, farcical, almost surreal comedy that will likely leave you strangely moved
Details or Sample:
The cast of 8 paints a killer picture of the stupidity and the absurdity of mankind. No punches held here. Mr. McDonagh mixes murder and mayhem with excessive attachment to pets in a tongue-in -cheek wildly farcical commentary on the human condition.

If you are looking for something different, The Lieutenant of Inishmore may be for you. This is not Wicked or Phantom nor is it suitable for the Lion King and Disney crowd. (Leave kids and the faint of heart home.) You will not find high production sets and memorable theme songs but you will find a powerful satirical, farcical, almost surreal comedy that will likely leave you strangely moved.
