As a woman it"s pretty hard to get through life without having at least one friend ask if you"ll attend a home party she"s hosting. Through the years I"ve been to candle parties, Tupperware parties and parties that sold silk plants of all things. I had pretty much come to the conclusion that they were all the same—boring and not really worth my time. So when I was sitting in a friend"s backyard and she asked if I wanted to go with her to a home party another friend was hosting I shook my head and gave a resounding, "No."

"But this one"s different." She claimed. "It"s a sex toy party."

"Really?" I replied, thinking perhaps I"d been a little hasty with my answer.

"Yeah, it"s supposed to be fun." She gave me a sly smile. "You want to go?"

A week later my friend and I were on our way to our first adult toy party. As my husband was deployed overseas at the time her husband graciously offered to baby sit my kids; an offer I"m sure came as a result of her bribing him with the promise of a gift from our naughty party.
