When people first take up a martial art their reasons for doing so vary depending on what the student wants to gain from their practice. Common reasons for starting a martial discipline include increased fitness, health, awareness and strength. This article outlines the mental benefits of learning Kung Fu. What initially attracts new students to Kung Fu training is the prospect of gaining impressive new skills which will dazzle onlookers with amazing feats of co-ordination and power.
