The Americans with Disabilities Act provides a number of protections for disabled individuals who can perform their jobs with reasonable accommodations. Changes to the ADA ensured that a broad range of people with disabilities are covered by the Act. However, several recent cases have ruled against employees who have sued employers based on ADA claims. This article summarizes how the law has treated various disability claims.
