Matt Cordon is a former sportswriter who has earned advanced degrees in both law and library and information science. He frequently writes for a variety of academic and non-academic publications.
He started his career as a sports editor of a small newspaper near a college campus. He later joined the college’s staff as its sports information director. He never lost his love for sports, but he decided to change direction by applying to law school. He graduated and became a member of the bar in 1999. Two years later, he earned a master of library and information science degree.
He has served as a professional law librarian since 2000. He also holds a tenured faculty position and has won numerous academic awards, including a national award for best academic article and two awards as an outstanding young alumnus.
He writes about a variety of topics but focuses heavily on sports, law, and information technology.
