Andrew Shaner is a freelance writer from Pennsylvania with a wide range of expertise. His interests are in film, literature (especially comic books), and technology. His published works include poetry, narratve fiction, a senior thesis on the works of acclaimed animator Hayao Miyazaki, and several articles on film, television, and technology.
In 2011, he received his B.A. with Honors in English from Penn State. He is an aspiring digital medievalist hoping to get his M.A. in Digital Humanities where he intends to research the intersection of technology and culture as it pertains to both the medieval world, and our modern, tech-driven society.
Andrew is currently living with Multiple Sclerosis but he refuses to let that stop him. His hobbies include gaming, reading, traveling, and moviegoing. He also enjoys writing "About the Author" sections in the third person.
