I found out that I have an intolerance to the wheat protein called gluten in 2006. It's a difficult thing to deal with because wheat is everywhere. Going out to restaurants is tricky, reading labels at the supermarket is now mandatory. There isn't a lot of choice for someone like me, so I have challenged myself to create my own recipes. In a way it is kind of a blessing, I love to cook! I am now open to a whole new world of experimenting with a variety of different flours and finding out different flavours. It's life long research.
