Writer Biography

I turned to freelancing a few years ago, after spending more than 20 years as a newspaper reporter and editor. Currently I'm writing for several magazines, including Health Matters, 65 Plus, and Spaces, and am a columnist for The Pinnacle newspaper in Central California. I have also written a book, "Smell It Like It Is: Tales From the Garlic Capital of the World." I have special knowledge and experience in writing about gardening, home design, art, theater, education, parenthood, and pop culture.
