Aside from freelance writing, I currently work as a veterinary assistant with almost 30 years of experience in the veterinary profession. I also work as a specialty crop consultant and manage 18 acres of commercial cranberries on the family farm where I also raised and homeschooled my 2 sons for over 15 years. I keep honey bees with my oldest son, and have my Master Beekeeper certification. In my spare time I enjoy gardening and have a seasonal farm stand where I sell a variety of plants that I grow in my greenhouse along with raw honey from our bee hives. I am working on writing a children's book, inspired by the quality time I spent homeschooling my children and the insight I gained from seeing the natural world through their eyes.
